The Elite Centre of Manufacturing Skills (ECMS) is thrilled to have local training provider PLT Training on board, to assist in developing the West Midlands biggest industries, manufacturing and engineering.


ECMS continue to work with local training providers to provide the industry with the skills development needed, strengthening the region’s growth.


Currently, ECMS has over 10 different courses on offer purposely for West Midlands companies. With continuous growth, ECMS is collaborating with training providers and professional industry bodies, to develop the skills lacking in the industry, additionally adding variety to their course offering.


ECMS Business Development Manager Trevor Codner commented on the new SLA agreement. “Working with PLT Training is part of our growth pattern and we believe that working with their organisation will enable us to offer a range of specialist training for the manufacturing and engineering industry. We look forward to working alongside each other and developing this relationship”


PLT Training is a well-established Wolverhampton company, launched in 2000 and has since worked with over 1000 clients. They provide the UK manufacturing industry with over 50 training courses including; Forklift, Crane, Manual Handling, First Aid, and Health & Safety.

The ECMS Hub is located on the University of Wolverhampton’s new Springfield Campus and is designed for all our training providers to deliver their training, making it a great learning environment where all your training needs are met.


Paul continued to comment on ECMS facilities:” Viewing the training spaces at ECMS sites the facilities are high standard and provide an excellent environment for training. This is a credit to ECMS and will only underpin and support the development of employees within the West Midland area.

PLT Training will be delivering their first course Fork Lift Truck Safety for Managers at The ECMS Hub on Wednesday 25th March 2020. This course will be available to attend for FREE however a course fee will be charged if the delegate doesn’t attend.
