Course Learning Objectives
- Health and safety requirements of all machinery and hand tools employed in the session
- A breakdown of a drawing including draft taper, datums, contraction, centre lines and machining
- Setting out of a pattern including a dimensional check sheet
- Construction of a pattern with supervision, using a bandsaw, sanding disc, bobbin sander and pedestal drill and hand tools
- Finishing with fillets and pattern coat red varnish
- Final dimensional check of the pattern
