Three-day workshop training to upskill metallurgists

During the three-day course you will understand the theory and practical elements of both the Introduction to Practical Metallography Investigation and the Introduction to Heat Treatment, based around Annealing and Normalising.

You will understand the purpose of analysing material microstructure and how to determine product reliability during the metallography investigations, including the role of hardness testing.

The pairing of the Day 2, Heat Treatment course, will give you another perspective on examining metal and alloys during the manufacturing process and review what changes are made to the properties during heating and cooling.

Day 3 will be investigating the role of various heat treatments on structure and hardness on the property of materials.
